What is God+Life?
God+Life is a way to connect youth with the active and loving God in their lives. Participants attend the Wednesday WoW service, engage in large and small group activities and discussions, give back through service projects, and grow in their faith amongst friends. You do not have to be a member or currently attend Our Saviour’s to be a part of God+Life.
When is God+Life?
God+Life meets on Wednesdays from 7:00pm – 7:35pm during the school year.
Is God+Life the same as Confirmation?
Yes, God+Life is a new way to explain what we do during our time together with youth. This is more than something you simply learn to do, it becomes part of who you are.
What is “being confirmed”?
‘Confirmation’ can really be described as ‘affirmation’. The act of being confirmed is really about an individual reiterating his/her beliefs in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. This does not mean there are no questions, doubts, or even hesitations. It simply means he/she has faith in believing in the midst of those. Confirmation services take place at Our Saviour’s in the Fall.
What do I need to do to be confirmed?
Youth who commit to building positive faith habits for a minimum of 85 hours over the 3 year period, attend and participate in God+Life regularly, and feel the value in affirming their faith in front of their family, friends, and the congregation, will have an opportunity to do so during a special Confirmation Service held in the Fall of his/her 10th grade year.
