I grew up on a dairy farm in southeastern Minnesota. I attended St. Olaf College, Northfield Minnesota and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2001, I earned a doctorate in stewardship from Luther Seminary. I served as a solo pastor in Estelline, South Dakota and Mabel, Minnesota and as a pastor/developer of Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, Iowa. I have served as the Senior Pastor at Our Saviour’s since 2000. My wife, Gaye, and I have two children, Joshua and Katherine. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking photography, and learning.

I grew up in New Brighton, Minnesota. Shortly after graduating, I married my high school sweetheart, Jamie. Jamie enlisted in the Navy and over the next six years, we would travel the country living in Florida, New York, Connecticut, Washington and finally back in Minnesota. We have five beautiful children. We love spending time biking, walking our three dogs, having family game night and traveling. I have worked for Our Saviour’s in Christian Education part time since June 2006. I was hired as the full time Director of Faith Formation in January 2013. I am very blessed to be able to share my faith with the children of Our Saviour’s.
I was born and raised in Red Wing, MN, as was my husband, Dave. I attended UW-Eau Claire where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting. I have held accounting and supervisory positions at Red Wing Solftware, Red Wing Corner Drug and Red Wing Shoe Co. We have two grown children, Amanda and Alex, our son-in-law Jake and a new grandson, Jasper. I enjoy spending time in the fishing boat on the Mississippi River or Lake Pepin, reading, music, movies and watching sports, especially the Twins, Vikings, Wild and Gophers. I also enjoy volunteering at my home church of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Wing, as well as in the schools and with other community organizations.
I have been playing piano for most of my life. After graduating from UW-Eau Claire with a music degree in 1999, I have been a full time professional piano and organ player, performing as a soloist, in groups with top local and national artists, and in the studio on 100s of recordings. I joined the staff of Our Saviour’s in March of 2015 and have been immensely enjoying the band’s musicianship and friendship, the congregation’s compassion and warmth, and my role as band leader. I have been blessed to meet and work with so many talented individuals from Our Saviour’s, and look forward to creating more opportunities to showcase this talent in a worship environment.
I joined the staff in 1986 when I moved to Hastings with my husband Gordon and our three young children and have been creating worship bulletins, newsletters, worship participant schedules and getting to answer and direct phone calls in the church office ever since. I am also the Chancel Choir piano accompanist and play for worship as needed at other churches and for weddings, funerals, and special occasions. I enjoy spending time with my five grandchildren which sometimes requires a trip to Canada. I enjoy learning about alternative healing remedies and healthy lifestyles.
I have been working at Our Saviour’s since April of 2016. I enjoy volunteering for numerous activities with our children, including being a “Band Mom” and “Show Choir Mom”. Besides volunteering, I enjoy watching KC Royals Baseball and MN Gophers sporting events, spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking and baking.
I grew up in south Minneapolis and started playing piano and organ at my church while I was in high school. I received a B.A. in music education from Bethel University and a Masters of Sacred Music from Luther Seminary in St. Paul. I started working at Our Saviour’s in 1982 and over the years has worked in various capacities such as Director of Music, adult choir director, children’s choir director, special music coordinator and worship planner. Since 2007 I have been semi retired but continues to be the Director of Traditional Worship and to play the organ and piano for worship services. My favorite part of my job is leading the congregation as they sing of God’s grace and love for us.
